Day 3 - On the road to Crescent City, CA

It's here - we're finally on the road and it's hard to believe that we left Vancouver only yesterday.

Friday started out at CityTV where the team was interviewed by Riaz.  He pledged to get his motorcycle license before our last legs and join up with us for the ride in from Kelowna.  Then we headed to Trev Deeley where bikes were tuned up and we had a sponsor launch event.  The team at Trev Deeley were great - so excited about the trip and wanted to help get the word out for us on the road.

We met up at the Olympic Cauldron at 7:30am Saturday morning.  Global TV was there to interview the team (did anyone see it because none of us have yet) and family and friends came to see us all off.  Besides our team, we have riders joining us for anywhere from 1 hour (the trip to the border) to 2 weeks to help start us out.  We made pretty good time to the border and everyone made it through pretty quickly except for Lori who ended up about 45 minutes behind the rest of us.  We gathered again at the Tulalip Resort for lunch before continuing south to Portland.  The rig, trailer and the bikes make quite a scene heading down I-5.  We had everyone from truckers to other motorcyclists encouraging us with waves, horns and thumbs up.

We spent the night in Portland, Oregon and today went west to the coast before heading south to Crescent City.  Our stop today was at the Aviation Museum and we happened upon a classic car show - the happiest place on earth for Jason.

And now we're back on the road, making our way to the winding roads of PCH101.  Those of us riding in the big rig are praying for no motion sickness.
